Government Worker Found Killed

Posted on September 28th, 2009 No Comments

A U.S. Government Census worker was found dead with a rope around his neck and the word "FED" written across his chest.  A lot of details have not current been released as officials are hoping to determine if the death is a homicide or a suicide.  Many believe that the death is a homicide and is a part of a larger trend.  Some individuals fear that this is an example of violence and increasing mistrust of the government.  Some government workers worry that this may be the beginning of more future violence against government officials.

A full investigation into the death of the worker is currently occurring.

Burn Injuries Can Cause Permanent Injuries

Posted on September 23rd, 2009 No Comments

When an individual is burned by a high-heat source,  the injuries suffered from this type of burn can be very serious.  These high-heat source burns typically require immediate medical attention, and can cause permanent scars to the individual who received the burns.

Many burn injuries are a result of faulty equipment.  Equipment that has not been properly maintained or inspected for some time is at risk for causing serious burn injuries to workers that use the equipment every day.

Distracted Drivers Jeopardize Road Workers

Posted on September 14th, 2009 1 Comment

Distracted drivers pose a huge threat and risk to individuals who need to work or operate around roads.  These workers are at risk from being struck by drivers while they are going about their job duties.

The threat is very real for many workers.  Countless individuals are struck while working near the road each year.  This is one of the reasons that "Work Zone" traffic enforcement is very serious,  because the hope is that strict traffic enforcement will lead to worker safety.
