A woman from Pennsylvania has been charged with workers’ compensation fraud after authorities found her working as an exotic dancer when she was collecting benefits.
She was collecting workers’ compensation benefits for her job as a waitress in which she said that she could no longer do after she fell an injured her back while working a shift at the restaurant. Her employee filed an accident report and the woman received $27,000 because she told her doctor that she could not work.
However, eight days after the doctor’s appointment the woman was found working as an exotic dancer. She has been charged with two count of workers’ compensation insurance fraud and one count of theft by deception.
