A Pennsylvania man has been accused of collecting $183,000 in fake disability. The man claimed that he was totally disabled but may have been collecting benefits while still earning an income.
The indictment states that between the May 13, 2002 and April 27, 2006, the 57-year-old man submitted fraudulent disability insurance claims to the Disability Reinsurance Management Services Inc.
The man faces two charges, both in the second degree, and if convicted of both he could face up to 10 years in a state prison and a $150,000 criminal fine. Officials said that he could also face civil insurance fraud fines.
