OSHA puts temporary hold on small business work-related MSDs

Posted on Tuesday, March 8th, 2011 at 9:18 pm

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has put a temporary hold on the section that discusses musculoskeletal disorders due to work-related activity.

The column to record these injuries is temporarily on hold and OSHA will be asking small businesses about this decision in order to get there feedback on how this will affect them. Some felt that the average person that is filling out the form for a small business may not be able to complete the section properly.

Some feel that these injuries that would be listed in the section do not need a specific section just for them and that they can be listed with other injuries. ‘Repetitive motion’ and ‘sprain/strain’ are the most important terminology if there is no contusion, blood, or laceration.

If you or a loved one has been injured at work, contact the Pennsylvania repetitive motion injury lawyers of Lowenthal & Abrams, P.C., by calling 610-677-7511 today.
