Steel worker injured in workplace accident

A worker at a U.S. Steel plant has been injured after being involved in a workplace accident near Pittsburgh.

The incident was first reported at U.S. Steel Mon-Valley Works Edgar Thomson Plant while the man was working with a furnace blast. The maintenance worker was the only one that was injured.

The worker was transported to the burn unit at a Pittsburgh hospital after suffering shoulder injuries when he ran into a hot metal runner that was empty at the time. The company is still investigating the accident at this time.

Pennsylvania park worker injured after bitten by tiger

A Pennsylvania woman was injured after a after a park employee was bitten by a tiger.

The incident occurred at Lake Tobias Wildlife Park when one of the two 350-pound Bengal Tigers attacked one of the workers. There were no witnesses to the accident so the details are unknown. Park visitors saw the woman laying on the ground and ran to help her.

The tigers at the wildlife park have lived there their entire lives and have never attacked anyone. The woman suffered serious arm injuries as a result of the attack.
