Man killed in Pittsburgh workplace accident

A local tree service employee was killed after a workplace accident occurred. The 46-year-old man died because complications from a thermal injury from an electrocution incident.

According to officials, the man was working when the top of his foot hit an electrical line while he was attempting to cut down a tree.

The accident occurred last Wednesday and the man was pronounced dead at UPMC Mercy in Pittsburgh on Saturday. The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration announced that they will be investigating the incident.

Our deepest condolences are with the friends and family of the victim at this time.

Icy and Snowy Weather Causing Hit and Run Accidents

Recently,  Pennsylvania State Police have filed a lot of reports for 'hit and run' victims as a result of the icy weather.  The hit and runs that are being filed result come as a result of ice frozen to a vehicle becoming dislodged and hitting another vehicle on the road. 

Several injuries have been reported because of thie recent weather and this type accident.   Police have stated that charges will be filed against individuals who allow ice to fall from their vehicle and hit other cars.  Please be safe on the road, and aware of the dangers that the weather presents to drivers.
