Can workers’ compensation claims be denied?
Not necessarily. Your employer’s insurer reviews the claim that you have filed to determine whether they feel your claim is justified, and they may approve payment or deny it. If they deny payment of benefits on your claim, then you can proceed to file a Claim Petition. This initiates the process of litigating a workers’ compensation claim, and in this phase of the process you need to retain the services of an attorney who can represent and counsel you.
If you have received a Notice of Workers’ Compensation Denial and would like to pursue the matter further, share your story with the Pennsylvania workers’ compensation attorneys of Lowenthal & Abrams, P.C., at 215-329-3511.
